Emails, are you being delivered?

At a glance

More than pressing send

  • Identity

Understand SPF, DKIM and DMARC together.

  • Reputation

Responsible sending and healthy mailing lists.

  • Monitoring

Watch bounces, complaints and inbox placement.

Sending an email is easy. Reaching the inbox consistently depends on identity, reputation and responsible sending.

Delivery is not guaranteed

A successful send only confirms that your system handed a message onwards. Receiving providers still decide whether to accept it, reject it, place it in spam or surface it in the inbox.

The three records every domain should understand

SPF states which systems may send for a domain. DKIM adds a cryptographic signature that can be checked by the receiver. DMARC defines how failures should be handled and provides reporting. They work together; none is a complete solution alone.

Reputation follows behaviour

Large, sudden mail volumes, poor lists, high complaint rates, misleading content and sending to dead addresses all damage trust. Authentication cannot rescue bad sending practices.

A practical deliverability check

Confirm SPF, DKIM and DMARC; separate transactional and marketing mail where sensible; monitor bounces and complaints; remove invalid addresses; and test important messages across major receiving platforms. Email should be treated as a managed business system, not an invisible utility.
